Silver Falls Sustainability Co. is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other assistive technology. We are a small family business in Silverton, Oregon, and we want every person to be able to shop with us independently.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a finish line, and we review our site on a regular basis to find and fix barriers.
What we are doing
- Descriptive alternative text on our product images, so screen readers can identify what is shown.
- A "skip to content" link so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation.
- Semantic page structure with headings, lists, and labels that assistive technology can interpret.
- Regular accessibility reviews of our storefront, with fixes applied as issues are found.
Known limitations
Some parts of our site rely on third party services, such as our reviews widget, subscription portal, and checkout. We choose vendors carefully and pass accessibility concerns to them, but we cannot always control their code. If you hit a barrier in one of these areas, please tell us and we will work with you to complete your purchase another way.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this website is difficult for you to use, we genuinely want to know. Email us at support@sfsustainable.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Please describe the problem and the page where it happened. We aim to respond within three business days, and we will help you place an order by email in the meantime if the site is blocking you.
