Why switch to a solid facial cleanser?
Liquid face wash is mostly water in a plastic bottle. A solid cleansing bar gives you the cleansing oils and botanicals without the water weight or the packaging, so one bar replaces a bottle or two and creates no plastic waste. It also travels well, with nothing to spill and nothing to count as a liquid at security.
The worry with bar cleansers is that they strip and dry the skin. Ours does not, because it is built on cocoa butter, jojoba, and aloe rather than harsh detergents. You get a real clean that rinses without residue, and skin that feels soft afterward instead of tight.

Will it dry out my skin? +

How long does a bar last? +
Most customers get 6 to 8 weeks with daily use. Keep it on a soap dish between uses and it lasts significantly longer.
Can I use it to remove makeup? +
Yes. It removes everything including waterproof mascara. Build a good lather and it takes it all off in one cleanse.

This facial bar is gentle enough for my sensitive skin, but so good at cleaning. It clears up my face so fast! I tried another face wash that broke me out bad and I went back to this immediately. After only a week, my skin is almost completely clear again.

I am so sold on the lavender and comfrey bar. I'm 53 and I initially bought this thinking I'd mostly use it for travel, but I don't want to wash my face with anything else! I love this bar so much! It smells great and makes my skin feel so clean and soft. The bar is small but don't be fooled, it lasts a long time. We have been using ours for over a month (me twice a day and my husband once a day) every day and the bar is MAYBE 1/3 of the way gone. Love it and will be continuing to buy it

My local Chucks features your face bar and I was blessed with the mint you added into it with the Charcoal. I really like this face-cleaning bar! The size is perfect to fit in my hand and wash my face. The tingle from the mint is just right. It smells lovely. I love the price point they sold it for. I really like your product. I look forward to locating other SF products at my local Chucks. Makes my face feel clean and smooth. I need all the help I can get! ( Just keep it out of water. Put it on a wood block or something and keep it out of water and it will last you a while and not melt.)
I picked up my first SFSC charcoal and mint facial cleanser at GoGo Refill in Portland ME and have bought it ever since! A lot of plastic-free buying involves trying different products and seeing what works best but this is one I've never thought of replacing.
I LOVE my charcoal mint facial bar. I've been using it since July, and my skin is fresher and cleaner than ever. The bar smells good, lathers well, and is very long lasting! Highly recommend.

Does the Charcoal leave black residue in the sink or shower? I've experienced this with some charcoal toothpastes and shampoos and just curious if it happens with this soap, too. Thank you!
If you set it directly on tile it will leave residue, but it washes off. We recommend using a soap dish with the charcoal face bar.
