It started on a beach in Panama.
Remote islands. Nobody living there. And still, plastic everywhere.
We lived near two oceans. Weekend visits to uninhabited beaches, all of them covered in plastic washed up from somewhere else. Big pieces, small pieces, turning into brightly colored sand. That was the first time the scale of the problem really hit.
We came home to Oregon after a cancer diagnosis. Spent a while looking for natural, plastic-free products that actually worked. There weren't many. So we kept making our own and started selling them.
Eight years later, we've grown a bit. But we're still a small operation based in Silverton. Still mom and pop. Still writing short formula lists. Still not on Amazon, not in big-box stores. Still treating every customer like a real person, not an order number.
Every order we ship still includes a handwritten thank-you note. Sometimes messy. Always real.
